Sam Mustafa, well-known and award-winning CEO, made his mark in the South Carolina Lowcountry through his creation of Charleston Hospitality Group in 2008. Boasting 11 award-winning restaurants and bars throughout the area, the hospitality group and Mustafa have improved the community in more ways than one. Not only has Mustafa constructed a business that is good for employers, employees, residents, and visitors of Charleston, but he continues to charitably give back to the community through his initiative, Full Belly, Full Hearts. Through this initiative, Mustafa is able to provide meals to those in need and work alongside the MUSC Hollings Cancer Center to help fund cancer research.
Born and raised in Kuwait, Mustafa moved to America to attend the University of Illinois to study engineering. Mustafa quickly found a true passion for the foodservice industry when working a variety of fast food-jobs in his time at college. Beginning with a small eatery, Sam’s Cafe, Mustafa worked tirelessly to rise into what is now his multi-million dollar Charleston-based hospitality group.
Today, CHG successfully provides for the community through exceptional dining experiences, hospitality industry job opportunities, and charitable initiatives. Sam Mustafa looks forward to future franchising opportunities to bring his extraordinary restaurant concepts to communities across the nation.
